Maison&Objet Paris is a prestigious fair in home furnishing industry, always based on Paris. Held two times in September and January each year, the fair will make its first appearance in Asia and take place in famous Singapore Marina Bay Sands International Convention and Exhibition Center this year, attracting industry-wide attention. Is it signal for entering Asia home furnishing exhibition market?

According to the person who attended Maison&Objet Asia meeting revealed, organizer said that purpose for setting a fair in Asia is not to compete with any existing exhibition in Asia, 2014 Singapore show is only to attract more visitors to Paris as well as 2015 America show in Miami. Size for above show will be 4000-5000 sqm in these markets, they never want to compete in terms of size and market with anyone, and they only want to open a window in Asia and America show to attract more visitors to Paris. It is expected that organizer will bring good bunch of quality design brands from France, Spain and Portugal to Singapore this year.

The person also said, Maison & Objet Paris was fantastic in January this year. Lots of people from all over the world get information they want and great business opportunities in all fields of activities: furniture, design, textiles, lighting and decoration. He thought, both Stockholm fair and Maison&Objet Paris are the “best furniture fair in Europe”which he had attended already.
