ATASCADERO, Calif. — Deborah Swanson was honored with Graphic Design USA’s American Package Design Award for her creation of the Danican Design pillow, mattress and topper packaging.
The packaging for the Danican Design pillow, mattress and topper designed by Deborah Swanson captured an American Package Design Award for 2016.
Swanson, of Studio 101 West Marketing and Design, created the packaging for the Danish producer of bedding products.
“We are constantly challenged to convey a message of quality, and make the Danican brand stand out. Deborah Swanson has met that challenge by designing a powerful image for the Danican Design line of bedding,” said Danican CEO Thomas Frismodt. “We could not be more proud of the results of her talent.”
In the past, this award has been presented to graphic designers who design packaging for companies such as 3M, Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Coleman and Dow Corning.
“I am very excited to win this award.” said Swanson. “Our clients have amazing products and being a part of their branding is a lot like being their business partner. We work very hard to increase our client’s business through high-quality, on-target branding. We want them to succeed. This award and their success confirm our goal.”
Swanson also won four awards from GDUSA in 2014 for logo design, branding, and packaging design.
