South Korean full-service interior company Hanssem Co. has entered the retail market in China.
Hanssem said on Monday that it would open its first Hanssem Shanghai Flagship Store in China on Tuesday commanding a space of 13,000 square meters on the first and second floors of Changning 88 center in Shanghai. It is twice larger than its stores in Korea.
The new store in China will provide one-stop shopping experience, supplying home interior including kitchen and bathroom construction materials, furniture and lifestyle goods.
It will also be making home decoration recommendations.
In addition, Hanssem has opened shopping site Hanssem Mall so that customers can get information on all items including furniture, goods and construction materials, experience 3-dimensional self-design simulation before making the purchase.
China’s home interior market is estimated at 740 trillion won ($656 billion). It is heavily contested by multinational names like ikea, Nitori and Hongxing Mei Kai Long.
