Indonesian home decoration startup Dekoruma receives US$15 million in C1 round of financing
Recently, Indonesian home decoration start-up company Dekoruma announced that it has received 15 million US dollars in C1 round of financing. The investors in this financing are all pre-investors.
Looking back at Dekoruma' s financing history, the company has received a total of five rounds of financing so far, of which the amount of two rounds of financing has not been disclosed. According to publicly disclosed financing information, the company has raised a total of $16.6 million in financing.
It is understood that Dekoruma was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company started as an online market platform for furniture products. With multiple rounds of financing and continuous business expansion, it has now become a home decoration platform that connects consumers, furniture retailers, interior designers and construction contractors.
In 2019, Dekoruma began to strengthen its business model through an online-to-offline approach, namely opening experience centers in various cities in Indonesia. The company said that the experience center will increase online purchases of consumers in related cities and reduce purchase costs. In addition, the C1 financing will be used to expand experience centers and product development services outside Jakarta.
Dekoruma has always emphasized that the company' s business focus has always been on the home and living industry in Indonesia, which serves a huge consumer market, but has been lacking any meaningful technology investment for a long time.
Therefore, Dekoruma used the financing to actively develop the interior design and project management application NOMA. Currently, this program has been widely used by Indonesian interior designers and architects. And during the epidemic, customers can have virtual discussions with interior designers through NOMA.
According to relevant statistics, Dekoruma has currently served more than 1 million customers, and the company' s business volume has tended to grow steadily. Its revenue has tripled in the past 18 months.
In this regard, Dekoruma founder Dimas revealed that the company' s focus is to continue to vigorously develop its business and achieve positive EBITDA by the end of 2022, and then start the company' s initial public offering plan around the end of 2023.
