Guzhen Lighting College is located in Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, which is the capital of Chinese Lighting Industry. It is jointly prepared by the People's Government of Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City and Zhongshan Vocational and Technical College. It belongs to the Industrial College of Zhongshan Vocational and Technical College, with the core of training high-skilled personnel serving the lighting industry of Guzhen Town Established in 2013, the College has a building area of more than 14000 square meters and 13 full-time teachers. It has set up the key specialty of provincial demonstration schools, namely, product art design specialty. It has three specialty directions: lighting design and technology, industrial modeling design, and electronic commerce of lamps and lanterns. In 2016, Guzhen Lighting College and Guizhou Kaili College jointly launched a pilot project to train art and design talents at undergraduate level (to study in Guzhen Lighting College and complete graduation design in senior year). A total of 79 Kaili students have been enrolled in Guzhen Lighting College for three years. There are more than 300 full-time college and undergraduate students in the college.
At the Autumn Light Expo in 2018, Guzhen Lighting College exhibited more than 30 pieces of original products designed by teachers and students. The crowded exhibition site reflects the desire of the lighting industry for original design.
