Held by Japan Woodworking Machinery Association (JWMA), Japan Woodworking Machinery Fair with Wood Ecological Technology Fair 2015 (Mokkiten Japan/Wood EcoTec 2015) was a success from November 11th to 14th, 2015 at Port Messe Nagoya. 

A total of 147 exhibitors and 17,032 visitors attended the event.  Exhibited products from Taiwan, China were: Chang Tjer, Chi Ing, City Tools, Gau Jing, Kuang Yung, Leadermac, Lih Woei, Long Ger, Lu Yen, and Woodworking & Furniture Digest

With the theme of “Land of Wood, JAPAN / Show the Power of Tree, OMOTENASHI”, the Fair aimed to be a significant show that showcased various technologies and solutions in the wood working industry.

In Japan, The Forest and Forestry Revitalization Plan established by the Government in December 2009 targeted to increase wood self-sufficiency ratio of Japan to more than 50% by 2020. And this was carried over to the Fundamental Plan of Forest and Forestry of the revision made in January 2011. Promotion of fulfillment of multifunctional roles of forests as well as supply and utilization of forest products are much desired.

From now on, increase in usage of wooden material is expected because of legislation to promote wood usage in public building, announcement of wooden structure fire resistance standard, preparation of CLT construction standard, promotion of earthquake-resistant performance of wooden housing, Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics Games, and so on.

During the event, the organizer announced winners of Mokkiten Japan with Wood EcoTec 2015 OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL AWARD. Winners were:
