Royl Huisman is coming full circle. Founded as a builder of fishing boats in 1884, it is today finishing a sportfishing project that is 52m (171ft) long, six decks high, packed with sportfishing gear and a speckless superyacht interior. Royal Huisman says its Project 406 has left its newbuild facilities for “installation of her upper deck, sun awning hardtop and radar mast.”

Horizon Yachts has launched the eleventh hull in its 25-metre FD80 series, which is ready to debut in Australia. Standout features include a custom interior by series architect Cor D. Rover and a split-use skylounge with heated Jacuzzi.

Michael Frauscher describes the new, all-electric sports boat his company has developed with German carmaker Porsche as: “Not only the best electric boat, but simply the best boat I’ve ever driven.” You can forgive his gushing enthusiasm. After all, the Austrian-based Frauscher Shipyards he co-owns with his brother Stefan has been handed the same state-of-the-art, electric-drive technology that Porsche will use in its crucially important Mecan EV due next year on a plate.

Baglietto has announced a construction milestone for the second unit in its T60 series. Built on spec, the 60-metre yacht has now had its keel laid with delivery expected in 2027. With soft exterior lines by Francesco Paszkowski, the T60 series is the "heir" and modernised interpretation of Baglietto's popular T52 model. Notably, the model has no enclosed spaces, with both the main saloon and upper deck able to be converted for an indoor-outdoor feel.
