    Olafur eliasson launched a solar-powered little sun diamond lamp. The lamp is using high efficiency solar cells. It will be similar to its sunflower-shaped predecessor and also feature a LED light.

     

    Olafur Eliasson were one of the many industry speakers invited to speak during the 2017 edition of the design indaba conference held in cape town, south Africa. the artist spoke about ‘little sun’, the project founded by him and engineer Frederik Ottesen where they continue to explore methods in bringing clean and affordable energy to the masses living in small, rural communities in Africa which are not built on an electric grid.
