    TDC - Technical Direction Company deploys Barco’s UDX 4K32 in a world-first large-scale laser projection at Vivid Sydney 2017 at the Museum of Contemporary Art for ‘Organic Vibrations’ a collaboration between Julia Gorman, an Australian, and Paris-based creative and artistic collective, Danny Rose.

     

    TDC are also the first to take delivery of the UDX-4K32, 31,000 lumens Barco projectors in the APAC region.

     

    “When Barco previewed the technology at the ISE 2017 trade show, I knew that this was the way forward for the future of large-format video projection. Laser phosphor technology is the first significant change that we’ve seen in over ten years, ever since the industry moved from CRT and LCDs to DMDs hailing a new era of projection technology. RGB laser had been used for cinema, however is not practical for the rental market,” said Michael Hassett, CEO of TDC.

    Hobo Lighting Series by Studio Aisslinger for Wästberg

    Studio Aisslinger designed a series of lights that were created in conjunction with Stockholm’s Hobo Hotel, which they were also responsible for. Swedish manufacturer Wästberg was on board to work with them on the Hobo Lamp Family that evoked the same look and feel of the hotel’s interior. The result is a collection of lamps that come as either suspension lamps, table, or hook lamps, which can be used alone or in clusters.
