    Velodyne LiDAR reported its new sensor Velodyne VLS-128™ has become part of the Renovo reference configuration for automated vehicles powered by the Renovo AWare™ operating system. The combination of the hardware from Velodyne LiDAR and the software from Renovo helps to increase the reliability and safety for autonomous vehicles in complex driving conditions.

    A few years ago, Spanish designer Silvia Ceñal introduced the Macaron pendant lamp and now with Lithuanian company EMKO, the Macaron Floor Lamp comes to life.     ThorDrive Launches Autonomous Driving Commercial Vehicle Services with LiDAR Sensors from Velodyne

    On November 29th, ThorDrive is introducing the service with a kick-off event in Palo Alto City, California, with attendants including local government and business leaders. The initial service, in partnership with Hassett ACE Hardware, will support select residents of Channing House (senior housing) and fire departments in Palo Alto with plans to expand to additional pilots soon. The ThorDrive platform is using Velodyne’s lidar sensors to provide rich data content for its AV software.
