    Lumenpulse Group has announced updates to its senior level management team: Tim Berman is now the President and Chief Operating Officer, and Lance Howitt is Chief Marketing Officer. François-Xavier (FX) Souvay will continue his role as Chief Executive Officer of the company. In a prepared statement Souvay said, “I am very excited to have Mr. Berman and Mr. Howitt join our executive team to help continue the success of the Lumenpulse Group and help lead us to the achievement of our five-year plan and beyond. In their new roles, both will continue to provide critical input into setting the strategic direction of the Group and to maximize the potential of each of our brands.”

     

    Souvay went on to say, “Bringing Tim and Lance into senior management positions overseeing all brands and having completed our privatization, along with moving to our new expanded facility, the Lumenpulse Group is now a private organization that is led by a veteran executive group that deeply appreciates the unique needs of our partners in the sales channel and is clearly focused and uniquely well-positioned for sustainable long-term development.     Lumileds LUXEON C Color Portfolio Gets Double-Digit Performance Improvements

    Lumileds announced today that it has considerably improved the flux across its color LED family. Performance improvements to the flagship LUXEON C Color Line includes 20% higher lumen output in its LUXEON C Green and Cyan compared to the previous generation; the LUXEON C Red-Orange features a 12% flux increase and the LUXEON C Red an 8% flux increase. “As the demands on our customer’s fixtures become more challenging, we need to ensure our Color portfolio enables them to meet these demands. This increase in flux across several key colors will give our customers a significant boost in performance in existing designs as well as allow them to start from a higher level of performance in new designs,” said Jennifer Holland, Product Line Director of the LUXEON C Color Line.

    LUXEON's New Products to SunPlus Series for Horticulture

    Lumileds recently introduced three new products in its LUXEON SunPlus Series of award winning LEDs for horticulture lighting. The LUXEON SunPlus Series is the only line of LEDs on the market to be tested and binned by photosynthetic photon flux (PPF). The portfolio of colors enables wavelength tuning for maximum crop yield in both greenhouse and vertical farming applications. The addition to the LUXEON SunPlus 35 Line of Far Red and Deep Red will enable designers of vertical farm and interweaving fixtures to tune the spectrum specifically for the crop being grown. The new LUXEON SunPlus CoB Line, available in Purple, is designed for greenhouse applications where attaining high PPF and fast time to market are top priorities.

    Veeco to Change Its Executive Leadership Team

    MOCVD equipment provider Veeco has announced that the company will make a change in its executive leadership team. The current Chairman and CEO John Peeler will become Executive Chairman, and the current President, William J. Miller, will take the role of CEO and join the company’s board of directors.     PixelFLEX Elevates the Live Entertainment Experience at The Cowan

    Specializing in the design of premiere audio/visual systems, J Sound Services has produced a number of successful integrated solutions for the design-build industry. Recently working with the management team behind the new Top Golf location in Nashville, Tennessee, they were asked to create a custom acoustics and audio/visual design for The Cowan, a two-story live performance music venue.     San Jose, CA – March 27 – Today Lumileds introduced a new addition to its mid power family, the new LUXEON 3030 2D with a square LES, which is specifically optimized for high flux and maximum reliability in a variety of general lighting applications including downlights, high bay & low bay fixtures and outdoor lighting applications. “With the new LUXEON 3030 2D, we are able to offer the industry’s highest flux in a two-die mid power package, but also our hot-color targeted approach ensures superior color accuracy to that of other LED manufacturers,” said Mei Yi, Product Manager of LUXEON 3030 2D for Lumileds.

    The results of a controlled horticulture lighting study conducted by the NSF funded Center for Lighting Enabled Systems and Applications (LESA) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI, Troy, NY), have been released. The study, utilizing a variety of commercial LEDs, compared the effectiveness of different LEDs on the growth of red lettuce Rouxai. The best combined yield and antioxidant concentrations in the lettuce was observed using LUXEON SunPlus Series LEDs.
