    LG Display Introduces Cutting-edge Large UHD Rollable OLED Display at CES 2018，and this OLED displays will be used in various aspects of everyday life,The newly-unveiled 65-inch rollable UHD OLED display especially highlights the distinctive technological edges and unlimited potential of OLEDs.

     

    LG Display is showcasing cutting-edge display products including the world’s first 65-inch UHD rollable OLED display that prove its global leadership in all areas of displays at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

     

    LG Display will introduce OLED displays used in various aspects of everyday life, not only highlighting picture quality but also a range of applications and design, so that customers can directly experience the value of OLED. The company’s latest advancements of its IPS technology will also be exhibited to emphasize its industry-leading LCD displays.     LG Display will unveil several world-first OLED displays that fully utilize the unique advantages of OLED, including a 65-inch UHD rollable OLED display and an 88-inch 8K OLED display.     Amsterdam Light Festival 2018-2019

    The Amsterdam Light Festival is now accepting submissions for the 2018-2019 edition of the event, which will take place Nov. 29, 2018 through Jan. 20, 2019. The deadline is Jan. 3, 2018. Artists, designers, engineers, architects, professionals and students alike, are invited to submit their concepts for the festival’s 2018-2019 theme: “The Medium is the Message.” Proposals are asked to address issues raised by questions such as “What kinds of messages does the medium light transmit nowadays? How does light shape or transform (digital) space? How does light extend and influence our reality? And how does it structure and transform our individual lives and society as a whole?”

    Samsung and LG Showcases LED Signage Solutions at ISE 2019

    Last week at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2019 in Amsterdam, Korean electronics producers LG and Samsung both introduced their latest LED and OLED technologies for signage applications. Samsung presented a range of 8K digital signage products including QLED displays and the 2019 version of The Wall display while LG demonstrate a transparent and curving OLED signage as well as a full lineup of LED products.

    LGD Intend to Shut Down LCD Plants and Prioritize OLED

    Vice Chairman of Korean panel maker LG Display (LGD) Sang-Beom Han announced in July that by the end of 2017, LCD panel Fab P2, P3, and P4 in Gumi would be shut down. Fab P4 is officially closed. Sources pointed out that LGD is accelerating the transformation to pare down LCD Lines.

Meanwhile, the market scale of indoor fine pitch display is forecasted to reach up to US$ 1.997 billion with a YoY growth of 39%.

    LG and Samsung have been competing in the field of display, showcasing their novel display technology in international fairs one after another. Samsung revealed “the Wall,” the 146-inch Micro LED modular TV at the CES event in the beginning of the year and by the end of August, LG introduced its 173-inch Micro LED TV at the IFA. Aside from Micro LED, the two companies also fought against each other in the high-end TV market by releasing large sized OLED TVs.
